Yee Yee Zhu, a caring wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on December 9, 2023 at the age of 76. She was born in Thaton, Burma, and was the fourth of seven siblings.

A kind and generous woman, Yee enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening, and practicing her religion. She loved spending time in the kitchen, making delicious, nutritious, and creative meals for her family and friends. She cherished her free time by organizing her house, tending to her colorful flower garden, and cultivating seasonal vegetables. She was a religious person who frequently visited Buddhist monasteries, attended Buddhist ceremonies and made generous donations to humanitarian and religious causes. She was sweet and kind to everyone she met, and was well-liked by her friends and family, including the hospital staff who cared for her during her final days.

Yee is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Thein Zhu, and her three children: Aunt, Hnin, and Thant. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother.

A private family event will be held at 1 p.m. on December 12, 2023 at the Fairhaven Funeral Home on 6557 N Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
