William Edward Thoms, age 64, passed away January 10, 2026, at his home in Fort Wayne. Bill held a deep allegiance to and love for his country throughout his life.

He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed watching western movies, and found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. Bill was a deeply loving and devoted husband, and he was also a proud grandfather who cared deeply for his grandchildren. He cherished watching them grow, took pride in each of them, and found real happiness in simply being present in their lives. He had a personality few could forget, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Bill will be remembered for his steady presence, warmth, and the love he showed to those closest to him.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Thoms; children, Blaine (Jessica) Woodruff, David Francis, Curtis Francis, and Brandon Francis; grandchildren, Kylie, Hayden, Raiden, and Jordan; and brother, David Thoms.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sue Thoms.
