William H. Klemme, age 80, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 in Fort Wayne. He was born in San Tome, Venezuela to the late George and Amalia Klemme. William worked as a Spanish Professor at Cornell University and more recently at IPFW. He also served as a translator for several businesses and at the Allen County Courthouse. William was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and active with the Worker's Project. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen Klemme of Fort Wayne; and daughter, Katherine Klemme of Chicago, IL. A private family graveside service will be held at Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services are handling the arrangements.
