Obituary
William "Bill" Clark Gatchell, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was born to the late Millard Clark and Catherine Louise (Ryan) Gatchell on February 25, 1948 in Fort Wayne. He graduated from Bellevue High School in Michigan and Michigan State University. Bill proudly served in the US Marines during Vietnam. He retired from the VA. Bill was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. He loved his family very much.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Angela; sons, William Clark (Isabel) Gatchell II and Ben (Christie) Gatchell; grandchildren, Dakota, Forrest, Giovanni, Lizzie, and Ty; great-grandson, Luke; siblings, Mike Gatchell and Susan (Jon) Parker; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 4:00 pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) with visitation from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
