William J. "Bill" Gaier, 72, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Hartford City, Indiana, Bill was a son of the late Cary and Opal Gaier. Bill graduated from Petroleum High School. He served our country as a U.S. Army veteran. Bill worked for Partners and Shuttlebug. Bill was quiet, strong, patient, funny and always will to help others. He enjoyed working in his shop, outside in his yard, and planting and maintaining his flowers. He loved spending time with his family and cherished his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Gaier; children, Marc (Conya) Gaier, Karl (Crystal) Jones, Krystal (Kelsy) Presl; grandchildren, Caden, Caylee, Conner, Caitlin, Kayla, Mariah, Ava, Korbin, Khaleesi; and his brother, Frank (Shirley) Gaier and family. Bill was preceded in death by his son, Mike Gaier. Service is 2 pm, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 12 pm until the service. Memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
