WILLIAM "BILL" FURGE, 76, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth Furge. Bill was a longtime accounts payable manager at ITT/L3Harris where he retired after over 30 years of dedicated service. He was also a former member of the US Army Reserves. Bill loved family gatherings and working on gardening and landscaping projects. He also enjoyed traveling whether it was for work, on vacation, or visiting distant relatives and friends. He will be remembered for his good-natured personality, his quick-witted sense of humor, and his love of his family. Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Furge; four children, KC (Stefanie) Furge, Kyle (Laura) Furge, Sarah (Shawn) Broz and Brooke (Ryan) Knapick; eight grandchildren, Brett, Kaylee, Sidney, Rachel, William, Jackson, Nicholas, and Eliot; three brothers, Terry (Cheryl) Furge, David (Brenda) Furge, and Steve (Cheryl) Furge; his brother-in-law, Randy Raypole, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Raypole. A Celebration of Life ceremony is being planned for later in the summer. Details will follow at a later date.
