Wendy Louise Kelley, 71, of Fort Wayne, fell into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, July 19, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Wendy fought a courageous battle of breast cancer since 1997 and bone cancer since 2010. She had an incredible relationship with her oncologist Dr. S. Nattam and was his longest surviving cancer patient. As a cancer survivor of almost 28 years, she didn't take any day for granted and lived life to the fullest. She was born to the late Robert Thomas and Delores Jean Ruble on October 17, 1953 in Springfield, IL. She married Charles "Chuck" Kelley on June 9, 1982 in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. After moving back to Indiana, Florida was always a home away from home. Wendy deeply loved her children and grandchildren. Serving others was her mission in life extending beyond family. Christmas was her favorite time of year. God better be ready for Christmas this year! Wendy was a member of Grace Point Church of the Nazarene.
Wendy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Charles "Chuck" Kelley; children, Toni (Jim) Mayhew, Kevin Kelley, Patrick (Kelly) Kelley, and Jonathan (Halie) Kelley; grandchildren, Jake (Lynsey), Cassie, and Abby Mayhew, Ava, McKenna, Eliana, and Chloe Kelley, Jayce and Jayla Harris; sister, Sherry Liang; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Ruble.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene (8611 Mayhew Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835). Visitation will also be on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Grace Point Church.
