Wende Jo Stamets, 74, of Fort Wayne passed away on Saturday May 30th 2026 at her home. She was born in Fort Wayne to the late Derald “Pete” and Doris Yoder. Wende graduated from Leo High School class of 1970.

She was a gifted decorator, and she really enjoyed creating beautiful floral arrangements. Wende loved her family and being grandma to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling.

Wende is survived by her daughter, Angela (Jason) Rekeweg; son, Eric (Jill) Stamets; grandchildren, Haley, and Cameron Rekeweg; sister, Jan (Melvyn) Griswold.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Stamets, in January 2026.

The family will be holding a private memorial service.
