WAYNE EUGENE BEER, 94, went to meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Born May 31,1932 in Milford, Indiana, son of Myrtus and Emma (Schori) Beer. He was preceded in death by his father when he was about two years old, his mother then remarried Philip Clauss of Milford, IN. Wayne married Eileen Hile on Aug. 29, 1953 at Forest Park United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, wife, Eileen, all of his siblings and his wife’s siblings. He is survived by three sons and a daughter, Gregory W. (Lydia) Beer of Fort Wayne, Michael E. (Stephanie) Beer of Louisville, KY, Timothy L. (Cathy) Beere and Rebecca M. (David) Mervar, both of Fort Wayne; 15 grandchildren, Andrew (Molaika) Beer, Jason (Cassie) Beer, Jennifer (Derek) Hartman, Daniel (Lauren) Beer, Amber Beer, Hannah (Courey) Walker, Isaac Beer, Niki Beere, Jasmine (Nick) Severinac, Audree (Ryan) Jordan, Nathaniel (Tiana) Mervar, Katelyn, Christopher, Sarah, and Isaiah Mervar: Also 23 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are Saturday, August 22nd, from 4-7 pm and one hour before the service that begins at 2 pm, Sunday, August 23rd, at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 6557 N. Clinton St., FW, IN 46825. A private burial will take place at Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Camp Michawana, 6475 Wilkins Rd, Hastings, Michigan 49058, in loving memory and honor of Wayne Beer.
