REFFE, W. Roger, 82, of Roanoke, passed away January 4, 2022, at Parkview Hospital Fort Wayne. Born April 30, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late William and Lucille (Rogers) Reffe. After graduating from South Side High School in 1957 and International Business College in 1959, he married Carolyn Ann Alter on February 24, 1962. Being a man of God, he attended church regularly. He was a devoted husband who dearly loved his wife and a father who raised his children to know Jesus, be thankful and work hard. Roger worked most of his career as a Controller at Global Tool & Automation (formerly CTS Tool & Die). His love for working and talking with people was evident by all of the people he knew in management and business. He had several interesting hobbies and enjoyed researching, finding good deals, spreadsheets, music, photography and was an unintentional tool collector, but most of his time revolved around his "sweetie" and her hobbies. He fed the birds that they watched, rode his motorcycle with her, enjoyed traveling quite often to Niagara Falls with his family and shared their ministry of passing out angels she made for those who were sick at local hospitals and nursing homes. His passion was spreading the Word through ministry with a weekly Sunday School Report and sharing CD's with God's message. He was truly a thankful man for the blessings that he had received. Already deeply missed, he is survived by his children; Ken (Linda) Reffe, Dorinda (Darryl) Springer, Adonica (Omid) Zahedi and Peter (Bekah) Reffe; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Now in Heaven, he has joined his wife, Carolyn Reffe, of almost 60 years who passed away four days prior. Roger was also preceded in death by his daughter, Penny Jane Reffe. Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 6557 N. Clinton St., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be 3-7 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Linn Grove, Indiana.
