Virginia E. Flesher, 94, passed away on Monday January 29th, 2024 in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in New York City, New York. Virginia married Claire William Flesher on October 9, 1949 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Virginia worked for Home Life Insurance in New York and also in Omaha, Neb. She spent the next couple of years as a homemaker then in 1970 she worked for First National Bank of Council Bluffs, in 1976 she was an apartment complex manager until 1996 where she then worked at Bluffs Run as a Mutual Teller. Some of Virginia's hobbies included cooking and baking, gardening, going to yard sales with her daughter. She loved to travel and visited Hawaii 3 times. She also enjoyed fishing trips to Minnesota and camping.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Linda Flesher, and Vickie (Tim) Robertson; grandchildren, Jason (Arden) Robertson, Sarah (Alan) Branson; great grandchildren, Ashtyn (Ashton), Ava, Archer, Gavin, Beckham, and Evelyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claire "Bill" Flesher; an infant son; daughter, Deborah Flesher; brothers, William Languth and Arthur Languth; sisters, Elizabeth Mocker and Florence Stanton.
Visitation for Virginia will be held on Sunday February 4th, 2024 from 2 - 4 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Virginia will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Cemetery in Oakland, Iowa. Preferred memorials may be directed to The Salvation Army.
