Obituary

Troy Lee Patterson, 52, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026. He was born on August 4, 1973. Troy grew up in Berne and graduated from South Adams High School in 1992. He then graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, NY in 1994. During his time in college, he sang bass in a traveling singing group. On June 1st this year, he and his wife, Twila, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Troy worked for INDOT for 28 years and oversaw lines, signs, and snow plowing. Every year as a family, he enjoyed spending time at Myrtle Beach. Troy enjoyed IU Football and Basketball, Southern Gospel Quartet Music, and talk radio (especially WOWO and WBCL).

Troy is survived by his loving wife, Twila; he was a kind, caring dad to his children, Tanner Lee (28), Tiana Michaela (25), and Tessa Jo (Cody) Deaton (22); grandchildren, Ava, Alex and precious baby Cato; mother, Joan (Terry) Konger; siblings, Todd (Susan) Patterson, Tanya (Jason) Nussbaum, and Tyler (Shelby) Patterson; and mother and father-in-law, Marge and Jim Bowman. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Patterson.

A funeral service will be on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) with visitation beginning at 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Huntertown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Twila Patterson. The family will be planting a tree in honor of Troy.
