“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Tina K. Bennett, who entered eternal rest on June 12, 2026, at the age of 61, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her faith, family and community will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Tina was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Byard and Elfriede Hey. She devoted her life to serving others, both professionally and personally, always leading with kindness, integrity, and compassion.
Whether through her work as a mortgage professional for over 32 years, her commitment to Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School, her support of Concordia Lutheran High School, or her involvement with numerous local organizations, Tina had an extraordinary gift for bringing people together and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Above all else, Tina treasured her faith and time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She was the heart of her family, the person everyone could count on for encouragement, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her happiness came from spending time with her family, cheering them on, celebrating milestones both big and small, and creating traditions that will forever be cherished.
Tina is survived by her children, Ashley (Justin) Reed, Courtney Bennett, Seth (Sara) Bennett, and Aaron (Allie) Bennett; her eleven beloved grandchildren, Sydney, Audryna, Grace, Jaxson, Lillian, Elijah, Gianna, Dottie, Byard, Booker, and Stratton; her mother, Carolyn Hey and her siblings, Heidi Williams, Gretchen (Mike) Barnett, Byard (Irene) Hey, Karla Dimond, Charlie (Rachel) Zeigler, Julie Conroy, Marti Ashton, Carrie Martin, Magdelena (Jason) Hanna, and Christiana (Josh) Pintar.
She was preceded in death by her father, Byard Hey, and her brother, John Zeigler.
