Thomas R. O'Grady, 85 passed away January 26, 2017 at Parkview Regional Hospital. He was born January 10,1932 in Batavia, NY to Thomas A. and Cola M. (Bushman) O'Grady.
He married Rosemarie G. "Rosie" (Regone) on November 29, 1952 in Lime Rock, NY who survives.
He retired as Engineer with United Technologies.
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who loved his family and the lord.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, Staff Sgt. US Air Force.
Graduate of RIT, and the inventor of the Touch Latch.
He belonged to the Holy Name Society, The St. Vincent De Paul Society, Eucharistic Ministry, Lincoln Park Homeowners & Northwest Area Partnership. He also was a player manager for Queen of Angels Little League.
Survivors include 2 Daughters Teresa Marcotte of FW, Deb (Ed) Fulton of Fort Wayne.
Sons Timothy (Donna) of Fort Wayne, Daniel (Wanda) of Azle, TX, Joseph (Donita) O'Grady of Fort Wayne.
Sister Kathleen (Paul) Krakenberg of Canada, Brother Michael (Sandy) O'Grady of Spokane, WA. 12 Grandchildren, 5 Great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his daughter Judy Saylor in Jan 2016, brother Frances, John and Terence, sister Virginia.
Memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Franciscan Brothers Minor of Fort Wayne.
Funeral will be 11am January 31, 2017 with one hour of calling 10-11 @ St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 2-7:30 Monday January 30, 2017 at FairHaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton St. Fort Wayne, IN 46825. Vigil service will be at 7:30pm.
Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery Fort Wayne, IN
