Thomas Dustin Liggett, age 81, passed away on August 12, 2026, in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Eleanor Dustin Liggett and Thomas Liggett III.

Tom proudly served in the US Army Reserve and worked as the Director of Financial Aid at Ivy Tech Fort Wayne.

Tom loved all things cars, especially Volkswagens. He listened to the oldies and enjoyed traveling, cruises, and spending time at the lake with family and friends; his favorite place to visit was Rockport, Massachusetts.

Tom is survived by his wife of 40 years, Detrea Liggett; his children, Eric (Adrienne) Liggett, Laura (Bob) Swain, Carl Liggett; stepchildren, Michelle (Scott) Titus and Melissa Meadors; 8 grandchildren, Hanna, Griffin (Alex), Levi, Natalie, Cole, Isabel, Cambrie, and Lenox; and great-grandson, Rafael.
