Thomas J "Tom" Brookshire Jr., 74, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Born in Marion, Indiana, Tom was a son of the late Thomas J Brookshire Sr., and Olive Brookshire. Tom served our country during the Vietnam War as a Marine, completing two tours of duty. He earned his bachelor's degree in Biology and Environmental Science from Indiana University. He worked as a construction manager for Project Renew prior to being a utility locator for USIC. You could often find Tom outdoors, mushroom hunting, or looking for fossils at any of the nature reserves around the area. He was the consummate bread baker. He also enjoyed woodworking and tinkering around fixing things. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and caring grandfather and brother to his family. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Pamela "Pam" Brookshire; children, Kimberly (Curtis) Lehman, Tom (Jennifer) Brookshire, Madissen (Jason) Ferguson; grandchildren, Emily, Victoria "Tori"; siblings, Ron Brookshire, Jim Brookshire Sr., and Vicki (Danny) Bruce.
