Terry L. Shoemaker, 78, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday April 22, 2026, in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Irvin and Carma Shoemaker.

Terry graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1966 and graduated from Crown College in St. Paul, Minnesota with a BA in history. He retired from Dana Corp. in Ft. Wayne in 2000. Terry was also a great sports fan of Carroll High School. He was proud to serve in the reserves for the Allen County Sheriff's department, and received a bronze medal of merit in 2007. He was an avid participant in the Fort Wayne Radio Club for 50 years and really enjoyed his involvement with the group. He was a long standing member of the Gospel Temple which later merged with Westview Alliance Church. Most importantly, he was simply a good man who loved Jesus and served Him his entire life. He was married to the love of his life, Mary (Secrist) Shoemaker for 50 years, who survives him.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Larry, Jerry, and Charles Shoemaker.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 am, located at Westview Alliance Church (9804 Illinois Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804) with calling from 9:00 am until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be given to the Great Commission Fund of The Christian & Missionary Alliance.
