Terry L. Shoemaker, 78, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday April 22, 2026, in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Irvin and Carma Shoemaker.
Terry was proud to serve in the reserves for the Allen County Sheriff's department, and received a bronze medal of merit in 2007. He was an avid participant in the Fort Wayne Radio Club for 50 years and really enjoyed his involvement with the group. He was a long standing member of the Gospel Temple which later merged with Westview Alliance Church. Most importantly, he was simply a good man who loved Jesus and served Him his entire life. He was married to the love of his life, Mary Shoemaker for 50 years, who survives him.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Larry, Jerry, and Charles Shoemaker.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 am, located at Westview Alliance Church (9804 Illinois Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804) with calling from 9:00 am until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be given to the Great Commission Fund of The Christian & Missionary Alliance.
