Terry W. Gratz, 77, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022, surrounded by loving family members. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Albert and Buleah (Bledsoe) Gratz. Terry was a Corporal in the Marine Corps Reserves and spent his career running and operating Al Gratz Body and Paint Shop. Always in motion, he had an intellectual curiosity and love of being surrounded with friends and family that never stopped and drove many of his activities. No matter what he was doing at the time he was constantly figuring things out, exploring possibilities, and enjoying the moment. Terry was married to and is survived by his wife Marilyn (nee Taylor) Gratz on October 20, 1979 and built a beautiful life and family together. He will be incredibly missed for his kindness, generosity, and spirit by his children Michelle (Michael) Gratz-Kucharski and Curtis (McKenzie) Gratz; grandchildren, Emily, Jacob (Aunah), Josh, Nick, Abby, Patrick, and Dean; brothers, Tim, Tom (Marydel), and Denny (Terri) Gratz. Terry was also preceded in death by his brother, Dan. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at FairHaven Funeral Home, 6557 N Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, 5365 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46815.
