Obituary

Teresa Lynn Jones, 66, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at her home on Friday, October 31, 2025. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Teresa was a daughter of the late James Howard and Frances (Bronaugh) Burt.

Teresa graduated from Wayne High School and received her bachelor's degree from Indiana Tech. She served as a social worker for the Charis House for over 20 years. Teresa's love for others, her outward compassion for everyone, and her willingness to help anyone in need will live on in the hearts of her family and those whose lives she has touched. She loved her family dearly and cherished every moment spent making memories together. Her family finds peace in knowing that she is now resting peacefully with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Jones; daughter, Terria (Husband- Earnest "Kurbee") Durden; granddaughter, Tenia Durden; and siblings, Maurice Bronaugh and Vertran Howard; her special friend Teasha Rogers; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Teresa was preceded in death by her siblings, Yvonne "Susie" Cooper Busby, Joyce Howard, Emily Jo Outlaw, Perry "Winkle" Howard, Brian Howard and Carla Hides.
