Ted L. Tiefel, Jr., age 43, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at his home in Fort Wayne. He was born in Portsmouth, VA to Ted (Perri) Tiefel of Fort Wayne and the late, Tammy Doran. Ted devoted his life to his God and family, and was dedicated to addiction therapy, working as a group facilitator at Avenues Recovery Center and formerly at Fort Wayne Recovery. He was a member of both Emmanuel Lutheran Church and active within AA. Ted was a computer enthusiast, an amateur artist, and a Star Wars enthusiast. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Joy Tiefel; children, Ted III, Joan, Stanley and Deirdre Tiefel; siblings, Amy (Matt) Peterson, Christopher Tiefel, and Georgia (Mike) Nottage. Ted was also preceded in death by his daughter, Coralie Tiefel. Service is 5:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd., with calling one hour prior. Calling also Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street. Memorials may be made to Avenues Recovery Center.
