Susie Mae Smothers, age 78, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2019. She was born in Uniontown, Alabama to the late John and Emma Jane Rhone. Susie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Archie. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ella Mae (Mcgee) Robinson and Myra Cross of Illinois, Barbara Jean Cobb of Kentucky, Ardrilla Smothers of Indiana, Aquilla (Ricky) Clemenz of North Carolina; sons, Anthony (Mary) Rhone, Archie (Cristy) Smothers, Doffice Smothers, William (Nyla) Smothers all of Indiana; many generations of grandchildren; sister, Margaret Smith of Ohio and brother, Joseph (Linda) Rhone of Indiana. Susie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Jane Rhone; daughter, Louise (John) Johnson; sons, Jimmie Rhone Sr. and John Ray; brothers, Amos Ward and Peter Rhone. Memorial Service is 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 26, 2019, with calling one hour prior at 1:00 pm, at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
