Susan (Sue) Geisler, 65, formerly of Kankakee, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Sue was a vivacious woman whose warmth and humor shown bright much like the sunflower she loved so much and drew people in. She spent more than 30 years as a nail technician, where she built lasting relationships with her clients.

Sue was deeply committed to her sobriety of 7 years and found strength and community through her AA family. She was an encouragement to many and took pride in the life she built.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Geisler; her grandchildren, Lillian and Jasper Angle; and her siblings: Keith Covington and his wife Lisa Shea, Gilbert Covington and his wife Stephanie, Wayde Covington and Donald Covington, and extended family including nephew, Preston, nephew Dylan, niece Morghan, and their mother Sheila Covington.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melone Geisler, mother Dakota Stevens, Lisa Foster and many other beloved family members.

Sue will be remembered for her spirit, her resilience, and the genuine connections she made with those around her.
