Obituary

Susan Frances “Suzy” Aquafresca, 65, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Suzy was the daughter of the late Harry Nordstrom and Gloria Parker. She attended Shrewsbury High School in Shrewsbury, MA and attended Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, MA. Suzy initially dabbled in selling Mary Kay before finding her calling as an EMT, a career she devoted many years to.
Suzy enjoyed a laid-back lifestyle and found happiness in the simple things. She had a special love for Chihuahuas, cats, and animals of all kinds. Halloween was one of her favorite times of the year, and she enjoyed watching corny movies and her favorite television shows, especially Beyond Belief, which she could watch on repeat. Music was another source of joy for Suzy, and she also found satisfaction in cleaning and keeping her home just the way she liked it. Though she had a tendency to hold on to things, it was a reflection of her own unique way of seeing the world.
Above all, Suzy was deeply invested in her children and their lives. She loved talking with them, hearing about their experiences, and keeping up with everything happening in their worlds. Her family was incredibly important to her, and the conversations and time they shared meant so much to her.
Surviving are her children, Heather Aquafresca, Sarah Aquafresca, Roy (Jennifer) Aquafresca, and Michael Bowman; grandchildren, Weston and Harper Aquafresca; and her brother, Stephen Nordstrom.
Private family services will take place. Memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
