Steven Lee Buchanan, 66, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Indianapolis, Steven was a son of the late Harold and Lorene (Elliot) Buchanan. Steven graduated from Carmel High School and earned his bachelors degree in Construction Engineering. Steven met his bride to be 52 years ago as they were childhood sweethearts. As their love grew, they were married on September 1, 1979 and enjoyed 44 years of marriage together. During his working years, Steven worked with MCV for 35 years, working his way up from entry level work to being in a managerial role. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, bowling, puzzles, along with collecting coins and stamps. He absolutely loved and cherished taking his girls to the ice cream parlor in his 1964 Corvette through the years. Surviving are his wife, Cindy Buchanan; daughters, Lisa (Mark) Pickerman, Kim (Kevin) Fales; grandchildren, Dexter, Ciara, Archer, Skylynn, Wyatt; great-grandson, Khalil; brother, John (Bridget) Buchanan; niece , Laura (Tom) Frank; along with many cousins and extended family members. A Celebration of Steven's Life will be Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 1 pm until 5 pm at the Buchanan Household. Memorials may be made to Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute.
