Steven Eugene Bennett, age 70, passed away May 16, 2026, at his home in Fort Wayne, IN, surrounded by his children. He was born in Marion, Indiana to the late Ralph and Doris Elaine Bennett.

Steven worked as both an HVAC technician and an electrician at Slater Steel for 15 years and, most recently, at the VA Hospital. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and, most of all, time spent with his family.

Steven is survived by his children, Stephanie Bennett and Steven P. (Laura) Bennett; three grandchildren, Tyson, Mason, and Jackson; and his sister, Rhonda (Wayne) Louks.

He was also preceded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart, Patricia Bennett, who passed away two days prior on May 14, 2026; and his grandson, Caden Bennett.
