Steven E. Bahr, 79, of Fort Wayne, passed away on November 22, 2025.
He was born on September 30, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, to Joseph and Betty Bahr. Steve proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, completing two back-to-back tours in Vietnam and earning several military honors for his service.
Steve worked most of his career at Wagner Electric and later retired from Maintenance Management. He was also a longtime member of the Scottish Rite, Indiana Freemasons and Mizpah Shriners, where he was a proud member of the Royal Order of Jesters.
Steve will be remembered for his dry sense of humor and his appreciation for a cold Pabst Blue Ribbon. He spent his summers at Coldwater Lake where in the 1960's he helped his father build a mobile home community and later became a co-owner of the park with his sisters, continuing the family legacy. Bahr Mobile Home Park continues to be a destination for families to enjoy summers on Coldwater Lake.
He is survived by his son, Stephen (Katy) Bahr; his sisters, Janet Drake of Satellite Beach, Florida, and Gwen Ehler of Summerfield, Florida; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Joe (Leah Gatton) Bahr, and his parents, Joseph and Betty Bahr.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Lutheran Life Villages for their compassion and care. Special thanks are also given to Eleos Hospice for their kindness and support during his final days.
A private service honoring Steve will be held at a later date.
