Stephen D. Smith, 76, of Fort Wayne, passed away early Tuesday morning on June 18th, 2024. Steve was born on July 30th, 1947, to the late Carl and Ruth Smith. Steve had worked in banking most of his life. He leaves behind his loving wife, Beverly of almost 30 years; his daughter, Sara (Andrew) Shaw and their children, Mika and Alek. Steve was a father and grandfather to many children. Sara's siblings, Josh, Teisha, and Deb and their children. He was also a wonderful father and grandfather to Beverly's children; Kelly (Jeff) Kurzhal and their children, Georgia, Jack and Jason; And Eric Folzenlogel and his girls, Elle and Avery. Steve was so well loved by his brothers, Gary and Rick; and his sisters, Janet and Pat.

Steve was so well versed in many topics, a great conversationalist. He knew a lot about antiques, loved to go antique shopping, loved the outdoors and antique cars. He especially loved His Savior, Jesus Christ and faithful to study his Bible and tell others about Jesus.

The family chose not to have a service as Steve was also a private man and wanted to leave this world quietly. To quote his last words: " I just want to go home, I want to go to Heaven"
