Stephen Beckley Sr., age 65, of Fountain Valley, CA and formerly of Fort Wayne, IN passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024. He was born in Portland, OR to his parents, the late Terry Lee Beckley and his mother, Patricia Eskenazi (née King), who survives. Stephen worked in restaurant management and restoration services.

After graduating from Huntington Beach High School, Stephen went on to serve in the Coast Guard as a fireman. He later attended Ball State University in Muncie, IN, graduating in 1988 with a degree in political science. He raised his three sons in Indiana with his then-wife, Sonya. Highlights of his time in Indiana include being a Den Leader in Cub Scouts, countless library trips as a family, drive-in movies, telling scary stories by the campfire, and rough-housing with his sons. When the family relocated to California, he took his sons on many trips to the beach and taught them how to boogie board. Later in life he was a loving and goofy grandparent, ready to play trains for hours on end. He enjoyed hiking, fishing with friends, and attending sporting events with his brother, John. Stephen's colorful and bombastic tall tales will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Stephen is survived by his three sons, Stephen (Janet) Beckley Jr., Scott Beckley, and Spencer (Kat) Beckley; three grandchildren; mother, Patricia Eskenazi; brother, John; two sisters, Marcia and Liz; and his half-brother, Eric.

Service is 3:00 pm, Monday, August 26, 2024 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 611 W. Berry St. Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
