Obituary

Stanley Allen "Shorty" Eix, 70, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023. He was born to the late Walter Charles and Goldie Eleanor (Moyer) Eix on July 15, 1953. Stanley graduated from North Side High School in 1971. He retired from Berger Auto Parts and Service in 2018. He was a member of First Eel River Baptist Church.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Lorrie Eix; siblings, Richard (Marsha) Eix, David Eix, and Laura (Jon) Arvola all of Fort Wayne; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra "Sandy" Federspil Eix.

Funeral service will be on Friday, September 22, 2023 at First Eel River Baptist Church (11022 Carroll Rd, Churubusco, IN 46723) at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial will follow the service to Eel River Cemetery.
