Shirley Ann Mackey (Tuck), 76, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on January 16, 2026 at home with family after bravely battling pancreatic cancer for 3 years.
She was born March 11, 1949, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late Patricia and Harlow Tuck.
Shirley was a loving wife, wonderful mother and devoted grandmother. She was a woman of strong and unwavering Christian faith, reading her Bible and doing devotions every morning. Shirley was an active member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church for many years.
She served in various positions at Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake, IN, where she lived for many years with her family, and retired in the position of Events Coordinator. Shirley was a wonderful cook and baker who took pleasure in making homemade meals and baked goods for her family to enjoy. She also enjoyed putting her hand and energy to flower gardening and home projects, enjoyed reading, taking walks in the outdoors and working out at the YMCA.
Shirley was always a very optimistic person– she never gave up and always found the positive. Her remarkable strength and determination during her battle with cancer earned her the nickname “The Tank” from her oncologist, and she often shared her faith and testimony with other chemotherapy patients.
