Sheryl Ann Arnett-Buckner, 65, of Troy, OH, passed away Thursday, July 11th, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Sheryl was born in Troy, Ohio on October 1st, 1958, a daughter of Delina Mae Arnett (Pain), of Norwich, Connecticut and the late Max Eugene Arnett of Troy, Ohio.
Having an artistic talent, Sheryl enjoyed gardening, crochet and sewing. Bestowing her loved ones with hand crafted gifts was one of her joys. Being out in the garden lazying about in the sunshine was where one could locate her most days in the summer months.
Ball State University was where she pursued her double Master's Degree in Special Education. She had a passion for continuing on her education and was intent on getting a PHD. While we can not call her Dr. Sheryl, her dream of helping other's achieve higher levels of education were accomplished. She was a tutor, and helped other children reach their own dreams via education.
Sheryl is survived by her mother, Delina Mae Arnett. Two brothers, Kenneth Earl Arnett, and Jeffery Scott Arnett. Three daughters, Aimee Rachael Martinsky, wife of Matthew Dakotah Martinsky, Kelsey Eleanor Buckner, and Sara Rose Buckner. Her best friend and soul sister Sophia Walls.
Families, friends and acquaintances are invited to her celebration of life that will be held July 21st 2024 at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
