Obituary
Sherry L. Bennett, 93, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. She was born to the late Allen Roy and Sylvia Bernice (Gunkel) Tucker on March 13, 1931 in Fort Wayne. Sherry graduated from Griffith High in 1947. Before retirement, she was a retail clerk at Wal-Mart.
Sherry is survived by her daughter, Sue (Carl) Rauch of Fort Wayne; son, Robert Smith of Highland, IN; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her first husband, John Smith Sr.; second husband, Rex Bennett; sons, Mike Smith and John Smith Jr.; and brother, James “Jim” Tucker.
Upon Sherry’s wishes, there will be no services. Sherry will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville, IN
