Sharran L. Gavin, 94, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday July 15, 2026. She was born in Fort Wayne and attended Central High School.
Sharran was the owner of LaHartz Trophy and Awards. She was also the conservator of Stevie’s Island, Past President of the Central Lions Club, and member of the EAA for over 30 years. Sharran was a sorority sister and a lover of the arts. She was past president of the PTA as well as a lifetime member. She had a kind heart for her pets, and she was loved by 10 dogs during her lifetime.
Sharran is survived by her children, Michael (Marylou) Gavin, Michael (Yolanda) Jones, Susan (Kim) Wall, Patrick (Kay) Jones, Matthew (Michele) Jones, and Daniel (Lee Ann) Jones; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Edmund Jones, and Dan Gavin; son, Stephen Edmund Jones; sisters, Virginia McKenzie, and Betty DeSelm; parents, Dora and Aubrey Lash.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday July 25, 2026,
at 4 pm with memorial visitation beginning at 2 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. A private burial will take place at IOOF Cemetery.
Preferred memorials may be directed to New Haven Lions Club, Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control, or Leader Dogs for the Blind.
