Obituary

On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Sharon Kay (Wilson) Zietlow entered her heavenly home and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sharon was born on February 18, 1946, in Michigan, one of ten children born to the late Reverend Donald and Vedah Wilson. Raised in a home centered on faith, Sharon spent much of her life surrounded by the preaching of the Gospel. A fervent woman of faith, she deeply enjoyed listening to sermons, Gospel music, and watching Christian programming, often alongside her loving companion, William Kashner. Gifted with a beautiful voice, Sharon cherished opportunities to sing beloved hymns of faith with her family.

Sharon retired in the early 2000s after a successful career providing logistical support for various military contractors. Following her retirement, she moved to Indiana to be closer to her growing family. Known for her generous spirit, Sharon faithfully supported religious and political causes that were close to her heart.

She is survived by her four children: Tamara Lipps (Mark), Larry Jackson, Jr. (Tobi), Wesley Jackson (Kim), and Rachel Rush (Neil). Sharon was a beloved grandmother to Gabriel Lipps (Tori), Jackson Lipps, Graham Lipps, Caitlynn Smith (Jeremy), Madalynn Campos (Jared), Kellee Marquard (Ruben), Matthew Jackson, Makayla Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Caleb Jackson (Abi), Lauren Norris (Isaiah), and Claire Rush. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Sharon is further survived by her brothers Donald Wilson (Sonja), Harold Wilson, Gerald Wilson (Virginia), Daniel Wilson (Carla), and David Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Larry Jackson, Sr., John Meyer, and Daniel Zietlow; her parents, Reverend Donald and Vedah Wilson; and her siblings, Ronald, Dale, Roland, and Sandra Wilson.

A memorial service celebrating Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Harvest Word of Life Ministries, 2260 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
