Obituary
Shandareen Lelita Sanders passed away at home on April 3, 2025. Born on June 12, 1972, Shandareen brought joy, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew her. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age.
A proud graduate of Paul Harding High School, Shandareen was known for her strong work ethic and dedication, most recently serving as a residential manager at Benchmark. Her presence in the workplace was marked by leadership, kindness, and a contagious sense of humor.
Shandareen was the life of the party and the heart of her family. She had a flair for shopping, that included trinkets, gadgets, clothes, shoes and always a touch of BLING! Some would say she probably owned stock in Temu! She found joy in listening to music, spending time with her loved ones, and sharing laughs with her friends. Most importantly, hanging with "Bootie," her granddaughter. She was looking forward to sharing her time with her grandson, Nyson.
She is survived by her beloved son, Dawan Griffin, and her treasured grandchildren, Za'Niya and Nyson. Her siblings; Mark Taylor, Ronald Sanders, Sharon (Quincy) McGhee, Natasha Stevens, Sherece Henry, James E. Brabson Jr., April Ware, DeLawrence Brabson, Shemika Brabson, Sabrina Brabson, Marcus Brabson, Deon Brabson. She will also be deeply missed by her dearest friends, Nikki Amos and Pauline Mauricio. She is also survived by her beloved aunt, who was like a second mother to her, Margaret (Isaac) Taylor-Manning and a host of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also mourn her passing and celebrate her incredible life.
Shandareen was preceded in death by her daughter, Shanteae, mother Elizabeth (Betty) Sanders, father James "Jake" Brabson, maternal grandparents Willie and Henrietta Taylor, paternal grandmother Geneva Little.
Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and loyalty. Shandareen's vibrant spirit will be cherished forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
