Scott D. Ray, 55, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday September 12th 2026.
Scott served his country honorably in the United States Army, in the 25th Infantry Division. He was stationed in Hawaii all 4 years of his service.
Scott started his career in the Local Millwright 1029 before joining the Iron Workers Local 147 where he worked for over 25 years. One of his proudest accomplishments was his role in building the Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
He enjoyed cooking and was good at it. He was also an avid groundhog hunter.
Scott is survived by his parents, Jim and Ann Ray, sister, Michelle Ray; niece, Brittany Ray; and nephew, James Hitchcock.
A memorial service will be held on Friday September 18th 2026 at 4 pm with visitation beginning 2 hours prior at 2 pm, at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St.
In lieu of flowers preferred memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warriors Project or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or Impact Melanoma.
