Sarah Beth Adams, 63, of Leo, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sarah was born in Harrisburg, Illinois, to Robert and Dorrice Rose. From an early age, Sarah had a joyful and adventurous spirit. As a child, she enjoyed swimming, diving, volleyball and baton twirling. One especially fun memory from her childhood was appearing in a national McDonald’s commercial at 14 years old.
Sarah’s greatest story, however, was her faith. Sarah knew Jesus as her Savior and loved Him deeply. She believed in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made for her. Her hope was not in this life, but in the promise of eternal life through Christ. Because of Jesus, Sarah is now living in Heaven, fully healed and in the presence of the One she loved and trusted above all else.
Sarah met her husband, Christopher Adams, and the two quickly fell in love. Chris was immediately captivated by Sarah’s beautiful deep blue eyes. Sarah and Chris were married on June 4, 1988, and shared 38 endearing and loving years of marriage together.
Sarah and Chris were so blessed by God to have four beautiful children even when doctors thought it may not be possible for them. But God knew exactly what their family needed to be like. Being a wife and mother was one of Sarah’s greatest joys. She loved being a stay-at-home mom and devoted herself to raising her children and creating a loving home for her family. Sarah had a special gift for making her house feel like home, and she especially loved decorating for Christmas and making the holidays and birthdays special for those she loved.
Sarah and Chris also shared the experience of being small business owners together. Throughout the various jobs Sarah held over the years, she was known for her caring heart and her desire to serve others. She worked at Cedar Canyon Elementary and Waterloo Elementary, where she poured into the lives of those around her, and most recently worked at Clark Chiropractic. No matter where she worked, Sarah was loved by the people she served and worked alongside.
Sarah’s love for her family only grew as her family grew. She treasured her role as “Mimi” to her granddaughters, Isabella and Selah Roser. She loved watching them grow, spending time with them, and supporting all of their interests. Sarah rarely missed an opportunity to support her children and grandchildren, proudly attending their games and celebrating their milestones.
Sarah also found joy in the simple things: bird watching, cooking, hosting family and friends, and creating a welcoming home. She loved helping with all family and church gatherings and making them feel loved, comfortable, and at home. Sarah was called and loved to serve her church in many capacities, but especially children's ministry. She was currently serving at Harvest Fellowship Church.
Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Adams; her son, Drew Adams and his wife, Alyssa; her daughters, Emily Adams, Millie Roser and her husband, Adam, and Abby Zimmerman and her husband, Reid; her granddaughters, Isabella Roser and Selah Roser, daughters of Millie and Adam; and her sisters, Martha Head and Cindy Painter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorrice Rose, and her brother, Robin Rose.
While her family grieves the loss of Sarah’s presence here on earth, they find comfort in knowing that this is not goodbye forever. Sarah’s faith was in Jesus, and because of His sacrifice, she has received the promise of eternal life. She is now home with her Savior, where there is no pain, no suffering, and no sorrow.

A viewing will be held at FairHaven Funeral Home, 6557 N. Clinton St. in Fort Wayne on Friday, October 2, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. The funeral service will also be held at FairHaven Funeral Home on Saturday, October 3, at 11:00 a.m with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Leo Cemetery.
The family welcomes flowers and plants in Sarah’s memory, which will be displayed during the visitation and funeral service. In keeping with Sarah’s love for her family and grandchildren, memorial donations may be made to support the education of her current and future grandchildren.
