Sandra Jean "Sandy" Farlow (Lahrman), 73, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, in Fort Wayne. Born on February 3, 1953, in Fort Wayne to Woodrow and Hilda Lahrman, Sandy lived a vibrant and fulfilling life marked by her love for family, adventure, and the simple joys of life. Sandy graduated from Elmhurst High School and pursued higher education at Ball State University. Her inquisitive nature and strong will guided her through a life filled with exploration and achievement. She had the unique opportunity to travel the world for work, experiencing diverse cultures and landscapes. In retirement, she continued her adventures closer to home, traveling across the country with her beloved husband of 52 1/2 years, Ron.
Sandy's passions were as varied as they were heartfelt. She loved golf, skiing, gardening, playing cards with friends and family, and caring for animals. Christmas held a special place in her heart; she cherished the season's traditions and the joy it brought to those around her. Her strength of character and curiosity about the world left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband Ron; her son Jason and his wife Hope; grandchildren Patti, Jacob, and Elizabeth; as well as great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her later years. Sandy was predeceased by her sister Sherry and her parents Woodrow and Hilda. May Sandy's memory bring comfort to all who knew her. Her legacy of love, strength, and curiosity will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
