Obituary

Sandra Bruce, 78, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born at the Luckey Hospital in Wolflake, Indiana. She received her associate's degree at The International Business College. She worked as a secretary at GTE, Stoner's Fun Shop and retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools. She spent her remaining years as "Gammer" loving her three grandchildren. Sandra is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bob Bruce; son, Andy (Anastacia) Bruce; three grandchildren, Lucy, Jay, and Julie; mother, Shirley Hurley; two sisters, Jo (Don) Mahan, and Lu (the late Walt) Muesing. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Hurley. A public visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at FairHaven Funeral Home (6557 N. Clinton Street) from 3-6 pm. A funeral service will take place the following day on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11 am with calling from 10 am until the service, located at Fairhaven Funeral Home. A burial will take place following the service at Wolf Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Give Kids the World Village.
