Ruthanne M. Nietert, 77, went to her heavenly home on Friday, March 13, 2026, in Fort Wayne. She died at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne. Ruthanne was born on March 15, 1948. the daughter of the late Alfred and Ruth (Krudop) Nietert. She attended St. Peter's Lutheran School and confirmed her faith in 1962. In 1966, she graduated from Woodland H.S.

Ruthanne grew up on a farm in rural New Haven, IN. She had a love for animals, especially the cats she had. She worked various jobs during her career, primarily at Sunshine Laundry. She was a very giving and loving person to her parents, siblings, and all her nieces and nephews. As a loving sister and aunt, she will be dearly missed.

Ruthanne is survived by her sister, Charlette (Ken) Hough; brothers, Henry (Cheryl) Nietert and George (Diane) Nietert; and sister, Mary Alice (Werner) Filbert.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, for family at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street) starting at 11 am and a service at noon. Rev. Nathan Widener will be officiating the service. Memorial donations may be given to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
