Ruth A. Zois, 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Ruth was a daughter of the late George and Estelle (Cunningham) Hillman. She graduated from Lakeview High School in Chicago and earned her Associate Degree from the College of DuPage in Illinois. During her working years, Ruth worked in customer service for Lincoln Financial.
Above all, Ruth cherished her family. Her family was the most important part of her life, and she treasured the time they spent together. She was always there to support her children and grandchildren, proudly attending their school activities and sporting events. Ruth was also an avid animal lover and adored her cats and dogs, who brought her great joy throughout the years.
Surviving are her daughters, Karin (Richard) Beitler and Ellen Hoover; grandchildren, Justin, Danielle, Shawn (Taylor), Hannah (Shamar) Ethan; great-granddaughter, Nova; with another great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her children, Greg Zois and Katherine Zois; her sister, Joyce Sousa and brother-in-law, Robert Sousa.
Private family services will be held.
