Ruth Irene Johnston, 101, of Fort Wayne, passed peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Ashton Creek Nursing Home. Ruth is survived by her brother, Arthur Jordan; daughter-in-law, Cathy Johnston; granddaughter, Julie Johnston and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Johnston; son, James Max Johnston; her parents, Leslie and Grace Jordan; one brother and three sisters. The family wishes to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Ashton Creek. Memorials may be made to PBS Fort Wayne or the charity of your choice. Per Ruth's wishes there will be no services. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
