Russell Gene Nicholson, age 86, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at his home in Huntertown, IN. He was born in Vallonia, IN to the late Neal and Mary Nicholson. Russell worked as a branch manager for Banker's Life and Casualty and most recently in advertising sales. He loved playing golf and watching sports especially the Purdue Boilermakers, and was a strong supporter of technology and science advancements. Russell is survived by his wife, Phyllis Nicholson; children, Russell Nicholson, Sylvia Nicholson, and Bret Nicholson; step-children, Reed (Patricia) Gunderman and Gina (Duke) Romo; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and sister, Peggy Grider. He was also preceded in death by his son, Derek Nicholson. Service is 2:00 pm, Friday, October 21, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two hours prior beginning at 12:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
