Rowena Ellen Robertson, age 102, passed away on October 31, 2026, at The Cedars in Leo, IN. She was born in Monroeville, IN, to the late Ralph and Huldah Barkley.

Rowena dedicated her life to caring for her family as a homemaker and will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother who raised nine children. She was passionate about Christian education and ministry, founding and teaching at JFR Heritage Academy Christian School and Fellowship Haven. She also taught at Victory Bible School.

In 1970, Rowena became a Charter Member of Lost Creek Emmanuel Missionary Church, where her faith and commitment to serving others were evident throughout her life.

An excellent cook, Rowena found great joy in preparing meals for her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her generous spirit, kind heart, and willingness to help those in need.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Ley, Stephen (Elisabeth) Robertson, Julia (Lloyd) Kipp, Mary (Larry) Myers, Grace (Ron) Martin, Timothy (Maria) Robertson, Mark Robertson, and Dan (Jennifer) Robertson; 21 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Robertson; daughter, Martha Prouse; sons-in-law, Don Ley and Kenneth Prouse; daughter-in-law, Caren Robertson; and her three brothers and three sisters.

Service is 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Lost Creek Emmanuel Missionary Church, 7751 OH-249, Hicksville, OH 43526 with calling one hour prior.
