Obituary

Rosemary Lois Shearer, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Born in Hudson, Indiana Rosemary was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen Nichols. She graduated from Salem High School in Steuben County. In her early working years she worked for Wolf and Dessauer. Rosemary was known for working at Kraft Foods in Kendallville for many years. Rosemary was a devoted daughter, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister to her family. Her steadfast faith in the Lord was a setting example to her family. She spent many hours being a prayer warrior and reading her Bible daily. Rosemary loved listening to music. Surviving are her husband, Richard Shearer; children, Valarie (Andy) Petersen, Debra (John) Smith, Atwell (Jacki) Shearer, Ralph (Amanda) Shearer; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Rosemary was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rhonda Shearer; siblings, Phillip, Carol, Arlene, Ronald, Paul, and Donald. Service is 11 am, Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Bethany United Methodist Church, with calling one hour prior. Burial in Wright Cemetery in Steuben County. Memorials may be made to the Church of the donor's choice or Dementia Foundation. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
