Ronald E. Uhey, age 78, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Mexico, MO to the late Alvin and Doris Uhey. Ron worked for the ITT Aerospace Communication Division and also served as an instructor at ITT Technical Institute and Ivy Tech. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, watching movies, and traveling abroad with his wife, Lesley. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Sherrill) Uhey; daughter, Heather (Hank Risley) Chappell; grandchildren, Erin Nicolette, Allyson (PJ) Wolf, Sarah (Cory) Hendrickson, Steven (Laura) Uhey, Riley and Hannah Krull; great-grandchildren, Delilah and Lucille Nicolette, Harper and Miles Wolf, Collin, Hallie, and Conner Uhey, and Quinn Hendrickson; and sister, Fran (Al) Rutherford. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Lesley Uhey. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Vandalia, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
