Obituary

Ronald Eastman of Wabash Indiana began his eternal journey on June 8th 2026. Ron was born in Fort Wayne to the late Etelka M. and Benjamin W. Eastman. Ron was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and spent the majority of his service time in Germany. Upon returning home to Fort Wayne from his service, he met his first wife Rebecca and together they raised their family (Benjamin E., Brian W. and Christopher A.) in Fort Wayne. Ron was a member of the Fort Wayne Three Rivers CB Club, the Fort Wayne Street Rod Association and various other groups. He was always quick to lend a hand to help fix anything that was broken and earned the nickname “Whippy Dip” as he hardly ever missed an opportunity for an ice cream treat. Ron spent most of his working years with a family owned property management company and in early retirement was a bus driver for Fort Wayne Community Schools. After Rebecca’s passing, Ron met his second wife Kathy and they spent their retirement years traveling and wintering in Yuma, Arizona. Ron was a faithful caretaker to Rebecca and Kathy, both of which preceded him in death. Ron was a dedicated father and a hard worker with a knack for fixing most anything that was broken. He was also quick to point out the importance of preventative maintenance and enjoyed keeping just about everything in like new condition. Well done good and faithful servant, we will miss you.
Ron will be laid to rest beside his first wife, Rebecca, in Riverview Cemetery.
