Ronald Wayne Dresser, age 72, known for his kind, loving, and humorous personality, left this earthly world on Thursday, September 5, 2024, in Fort Wayne. He was born in Huntington, IN to the late James and June Dresser. In addition to being a Respiratory Therapist for over 40 years, Ron held a degree in Theology from Baptist Bible College that he used as a pastor and in Bible Study groups. He exhibited a thirst for knowledge and modeled the wonder of knowing. He eagerly studied any text he could get his hands on and perpetually acquired new perspectives to make his points over the years. He enjoyed being part of all debates and musings over a variety of topics – religion, sports, and politics were his favorites. One of Ron's most commendable accomplishments are the lives he led to Jesus Christ in the years after he became a Christian. He loved to play tennis and his book collection rivals any library. Even at the end, Ron made sure to watch every Detroit Tigers game and was hoping for them to reach the playoffs this year, as he wished every year. Ron is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kathy Dresser; children, Rachel Dresser, Leah Dresser, and Jimmy (Joffrey Kent) Dresser; stepchildren, Jena (Nick) Knouff, James (Natalie) Kvas, and Joe Kvas; grandchildren, Jalen Thompson, Oliver Knouff, Owen Knouff, and Jameson Wayne Dresser. Their lives were greatly enriched by Ron's presence. His departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, but they find comfort in memories and in the knowledge that he is reunited now with all who have passed before him and that they will meet each other again in heaven. A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Headwaters Church (2000 N. Wells Street, Fort Wayne, IN. 46808) with a calling from 10:00 am until the service at noon.
