Rodna Ivanovska, 83, departed her earthly journey on May 29, 2023, to await the glorious second coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Rodna was born in Grnchari, Macedonia, in 1940. She married Kire Ivanovski in 1957 and they raised a family together in Bitola, Macedonia. Shortly after his passing in 1996, Rodna immigrated to the United Stated in 1999 to join her beloved family in Fort Wayne.
Rodna's life was centered on faith, family, and her Macedonian culture. She tended garden, baked, knit, and attended St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Cathedral. From her loving devotion sprang lush gardens, delicious dishes (especially the pita), piety, and a loving family. She was a particularly skilled knitter, crocheting intricate decorative pieces as well as knitting articles of clothing for each child born into her extended family.
Rodna is survived by her children, Slobodan (Andrijana) and Vesna (Boris), grandchildren Damian (Jenny), Christopher (Rebecca), Jasmina (Edis), and Kristina (Joseph), several great grandchildren, brother Goce, and sister Ruza. Rodna was preceded in death by her parents Naum and Pandora Trajcevski, husband Kire, sister Danica, and brother Vangel.
