Robert C. Welker, age 83, passed away April 15, 2024 at his home surrounded by family in Fort Wayne. He was born in St. Joseph County, Michigan to the late Carl and Doris Welker.

Robert proudly served his country as a member of the US Air Force and was stationed in Greenland. He was a mechanic for 50 years, loved to build and fix things but above all, loved to spend time with his kids, grands and great grandkids. He was an excellent provider for his wife and family and his family was his top priority.

Robert is survived by his daughter Wendy (Truques) Polderman of Fort Wayne; son, Lance (David Markulis) Welker of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren Taylor (Pierce) Rowe, Jordyn Polderman and Jensen (Chase) Nigg all of Fort Wayne; and great-grandchildren, Graysen, Phoenix, and Blakelyn (due in June); siblings, Betty (Dick) Bellaire, Shirley (Jim) Wire, LuAnne (Ray Simpson) Miller, Terry (Shirley) Welker, Lori (Jed) Oakley, and Tammy (Mike) Fennell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay (Kirbach) Welker; and great-grandson, Easton Rowe

Service is 12:00 pm, Monday, April 22, 2024 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling two hours prior beginning at 10:00 am.
